Many people love to toast a few drinks to make a night exciting and memorable or to celebrate special occasions or achievements. But many also wake up the next day in a state they'd rather not be in as the next day brings that dreaded hangover. Whoops. Maybe things got a little out of hand last night. But don't worry, we've got you. If you want to feel better faster, check out these hangover cures for some relief.

Hangover Helper: Eat a Healthy Breakfast

Waking up with a hangover often means waking up nauseous. We know the last thing you feel like doing is eating. But getting sick in the middle of the night can leave you feeling weak and drained. And all of the toxic sludge from the night before can cause blood sugar levels to fluctuate and trigger an upset stomach and lethargy. 

Boost glucose levels by taking in a healthy breakfast with lots of protein and just a little sweet. Jelly up your toast and have a big, tall glass of orange juice to wash it down. Keep it fairly light and focus on protein but also keep it gentle. This is not the time for hair of the dog unless you want to feel terrible again later.

Hangover Helper: Get Some Rest

It was a really long night, and the dawn’s early light makes you clench your eyes shut. Don't try to get up and tackle the world right away. If you can, sleep late. Drinking isn't conducive to good sleep so just because you've been in bed for hours already doesn't;t mean you've gotten any quality sleep. o that the alcohol has worn off, if you can, get some more shut-eye and let your body rest.

Sleeping off the side-effects of a hangover, including a headache, is one of the best things you can do. This allows your entire body to rest and rejuvenate properly. 

Hangover Helper: Drink Plenty of Water

Even with a bellyache, now is not the time to cut off hydration because you're almost certainly very badly dehydrated. Dehydration is a real possibility. Force yourself to drink healthy rejuvenating liquids. Water is always the best. Drinks that restore electrolytes are also helpful for regenerating strength and reducing dizziness but the sugar content may not be the best so consider diluting it with plain water for the best of both worlds.

Hangover Helper: Natural Supplements May Help

Some supplements may help. Borage oil with additions of prickly pear and starflower seeds may curb some symptoms, and red ginseng may even help reduce blood alcohol levels.

After a night of partying, getting help with a hangover might be a priority. Fluids, rest and aspirin are a good starting point. Gentle stretching, a warm shower, and a little time outside might be a good idea, too.
